Castle Chase by Centex Homes
An Introduction
Castle Chase was developed by the Centex Corporation and consists of 172 homes.
In October of 1997, which is the date of the earliest builder price list that I
have in my files, the pricing began at $172,900 for the 1,338 square foot Carlisle
model. At present, prices range from $300,000 to approximately $400,000 with the highest
values going to those homes with the most attractive settings and views.
There were five different models (with a total of eleven floor plan variations)
ranging in size from 1,338 square feet to 1,941 square feet. Each model was offered
in three different exterior elevations and also had a number of customizable
exterior options which gave the community a more varied and attractive look.
This lovely gated community is nestled in a secluded oasis bounded by Trovas to
the east, the Desert Canyon Center to the west, an extensive wash area to the south
and the McDowell Center to the north.
It offers wonderful accessibility via the adjacent trail system, marvelous mountain views and has its own community recreational center with a heated pool and spa, a kitchenette, BBQ stations, restrooms and a covered ramada. In addition, it also features an exercise room/ workout facility.
There is an additional homeowner’s association with monthly fees that include
the cost of these amenities.
