Our Community Facilities

In addition to all of the lovely recreational facilities and other common elements that the McDowell Mountain Ranch community owns, there are also two fantastic buildings that make profound contributions to our quality of life.

The first is called the McDowell Center however, some earlier residents of the community still occasionally refer to it as the Information Center. The latter name reflects the fact that this was once the "award winning" sales facility for the community.

Major renovations were made in 2004 and it now serves as the main office of our management company and as the primary meeting facility for the community. Thanks to clever design elements, it can now be arranged to accommodate several smaller meetings at the same time or be reconfigured to handle major individual events.

The lovely observation deck is a particular favorite of our residents because it affords incredible views of the entire community. This facility may be rented by local residents for special events.

The second facility, the Community Center, is our primary indoor recreational venue. It is staffed by a recreational director and is used extensively for smaller club meetings, many child-oriented activities, adult fitness programs, and is also frequently rented out for private parties.

Just outside the Community Center are tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, our main swimming pool and spa complex, a picnic ramada with a built-in BBQ, a children's playground and splash fountain and an open grassy recreational area.

The Ranch also has two heated community pools with spas and play pools for small children. There are also playgrounds, lighted tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts.
