Both US News & World Report and Newsweek have ranked Desert Mountain High School
as one of the nation’s best high schools and students enrolled at Desert Mountain
are offered many opportunities to excel through strong core and extra-curricular
activities.
The school currently enrolls approximately 2,500 9th – 12th grade students and over
120 teachers. Students can take classes at a variety of levels, including Standard,
Honors, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate; the higher levels offer
the ability to earn college credits transferrable throughout the nation. Gifted,
special and vocational programs are also available to students.
Students can also choose from over 150 clubs and organizations to personalize their
growth. The schools freshman, junior and varsity athletic teams are often highlighted
with statewide team and individual student championships. Clubs range from Economics
to Film and Mock Trial and a wealth of other opportunities.
Desert Mountain has a proven track record of preparing their students for the future.
Almost 95% of their recent graduating classes went on to attend a university or
community college. Those students also accumulated over $10,000,000 in scholarships
towards their higher education.
